Best places to get "real" furniture in BKK

I am tired of Index crap style furniture and and the owners of SB Furniture must be dyslexic as they should be BS Furniture.

Where in BKK can "real", classy household furniture be bought? Maybe a Lazyboy recliner sofa or equivalent. Or how about a bedroom set that is sturdy that will not fall apart in a year.

In addition I am not looking for Google is your friend responses or links to a place you never bought from.

I want to get some recommendations of places you guys have made purchase from and were satisfied with the stores service and the quality and durability of the items you bought.

I am looking to outfit my place with nice stuff and just because someone is on page one of Google does not make them topnotch.

    Look at Thai visa......

Thonglor have a few expensive European furnitures outlet

For american style crap, you have Sukhumvit somewhere between Soi 11 and Soi 21, can't remember exactly, something like Ethen Allan

otherwise might be cheaper to make build to order with your own design or pictures

Yeah, I checked out their place yesterday. EA furniture in the US is usually a classic style that fits a house regardless of trends. I was not impressed and they seemed to throw in some Thai crap as well.

As for the latest trend / new arrival prices on things here? I bought three pairs of Nike shoes in the states over a year ago. They were not new arrivals and I think I paid around $60 to $75 for each pair - although it could have been a tad more. I saw two of the three pairs in BKK yesterday for something like 4000 baht or maybe 5000 baht listed as "new arrivals".

5th floor of MBK is full of crap, avoid

try Central Plaza Bangna for a better selection, possibly Seacon Square

surprisingly there are a lot of nice furnitures for sale in Pattaya, but it's also a bit expensive

I know of a few furniture manufacturers who have factories in the Bang Poo and Bang Plee areas of Samut Prakarn mate.

These factories mostly produced high end furniture for the export market (particularly the USA) and I have purchased some beautiful leather lounges and recliners direct from these factories at a fraction of their retail value.

My contact person, who handled these purchases for me is sadly no longer with us so I cannot pass on the company details but if you try checking these company locations on the internet and then go to these factories you will not be disappointed.

This is where we have done all of our furniture shopping. Everything under one roof, plus most shops can custom build.

    Well worth a trip!

    ooo errr

but yes, lots of furniture makers out there

we had a teak bed made by our local carpenter, really well made and solid, good looking too, nicely finished

    B16,000 was OK for that

we also bought an antique bed and had it renovated, for a total of 12,000

other furniture was also ordered and made up, cupboards, bookcases etc
    I have reported your post

We live round the corner from QSNCC,although the furniture show is not until next month worth a look.
If you don't mind thousands of Thai's roaming round getting in the way.
