    Buying a Suit in BKK

I am off to a job in KL at the end of the month and need to buy two more suits to surplus the two I already have. I have some questions that I hope some of you can help me with. I have seen all those suite makers on Sukumvhit road but thought the Teak Alliance could help me.

    1. Where should I go to get a decent suit (to include shirt, tie, suspenders, etc)?
    2. How much should I pay for a decent suit?
    3. I am a big guy-6'3" 300lbs so will it be harder?

I've used Rajawongse since about 1992: probably the best you can get in BKK

Most tailors on lower Suk are ok.

Highly dependant on the style of suit you fancy. Last suit I had was 17,000baht.

Should be no problem. But more cloth means more cost.

    Good luck

Whoa, didn't want to start a suit war here. I will check them both out and post what I find.

Thanks for the info. I want nothing too fancy. I already have suit jackets from my other two suits so maybe I can get them to match some pants to them.

Soi 4 Nana, 1st tailor on the left as you head down the road away from Sukumvit Rd. Rajah,s
Cost will depend on the quality of the cloth chosen to make the suit.

I have used Esquire Tailors for years on the first corner on the left after you turn into Soi 11 off Sukhumvit (Cheap Charlies Bar is directly behind the shop).

The owners name is Kay Singh and he has always taken care of me with some fine suits at a reasonable price.

Pinky's in Ploen Chit is the best bud

Don't listen to those first 2 links unless you wanna look like a raving homo TEFLer

If you do want a nice tweed sport jacket, with suede elbows, and a pair of beige Cordruoys, then Gupta's on Soi 12 does some nice hush puppies to complete the look

You know, I think I can pull that look off now. I do have that middle-age robust British look about me even though I'm a Yankee Doodle.
