Has anyone been there? Gareth Emery is playing there on the 27th of this month and seeing as I am in Bangkok around that time, I'm going to head down there...

Normally I'd highly recommend Gazebo roof top bar on Koh San Road as I'd never had a bad night there but they let me down badly the weekend before Christmas. The flyer said House vs Techno vs Jungle and I talked a load of mates into it, but when we got there it was only in the back room with no other party goers. Still had a good night so will give them another chance. It was only when the band in the main room started playing "American Pie" when I was rocking out that I suddenly thought "Hang on, this isn't what I signed up for, where's the manager"

Your after hours clubs can have some tunes, Bossy, Spicy and Lucky. The good thing about them is that you can laugh your bollox off with your mates in the pub all night and then go for the tunes later.

And I'd recommend Tapas on Silom Soi 4. Yes it's a gay soi but Tapas is the first club on the left and isn't very gay. The dj's are good and there's a load of office girl talent in there which is easy on the eyes.

Also the twice monthly club crawl is fun. I think you pay an entrance fee of 300bt or something and then all your vodka's are 100bt all night. 300bt Get's you vip into all the clubs. Starts in Q-Bar, then Bed Supper and then Nest. That could be in the wrong order.

Yep I got the order wrong. It's Bed then Q-Bar then Nest. I usually join in at the Q-bar bit just before they leave for Nest across the street.

I've never been to the Silom version, only the Sukhumvit one. Great night and it's in the 30-40 age range so should suit you.

Nest is one little pretentious shithole,

haven't been to Q-Bar for ages, it used to be ok with all the freelancers, but now it has been replaced with HiSo Indians, not sure I would like that

Agreed and its well over priced. That's why it's fun on the 100bt vodka night. But to be fair I can't really remember leaving Q-Bar last time I went on the crawl. The only reason I know I was in Nest was because of the photo's.
