    Decent cheap hotel near airport

Found this cheap, clean hotel the other day, nice new large rooms with kitchen large fridge full of beer, room service, large flat screen TV, UBC,
When I first pulled up there I wasnt really impressed and gave the wife a hard time about booking it but must admit its the nices hotel I have stayed in for 1500 baht and its only 5 minutes from the airport.
The room service Thai food was also good also dont worry about the no smo0king bit as every room has a small balcony you can step out on to have a smoke

Thanks, that's handy for those that could not be bothered to drive an extra hour or so to Pattaya or Bangkok.

When you have an early outbound flight, being next to the airport is the smart thing to do.

And particularly usefull for those of us that have to fly down from CM or CR to get internationals out of LOS.

    Thanks Rigger.

I've always used Floral Shires to date, but your place looks a lot better.

The hotel is near my place and is very good for a 1 night stop-over if you have a flight the next day and no more due to it's location.
In the future if people book into here please feel free to PM or post here if you need any info about local restaurants, bars and any other things you can think about.

I did see some large Thai style restaurants nearby.

Yeah, you will pass a couple coming from Swampy to the hotel.
There are only maybe 2 or 3 worth visiting in the vicinity of the hotel.
The best of the bunch is probally "Koh Lanta".
It's the massive one with the man-made lake on the left as you enter King Kaew Road.

    Forgot to mention.
A couple of the restaurants have nightclubs attached to them and as the area is a "farang free zone" all you have to do is a quick lap or 2 of any given club and the girls will give you a friendly nudge and / or "cheers" your glass.
