    Need Bangkok Hotel Suggestions

I am heading to Bangkok in November for a week or so with the Missus and the hotel in which we normally stay is undergoing renovation. Am looking for hotel suggestions in the Sukhumvit/Silom area. Price range around Baht 2000 per night. Anyone got any thoughts? Would prefer suggestions of which folks have personal knowledge (or from friends who have stayed there recently). Don't care much at all about hotel amenities. Just want a nice, clean good-sized room which is fairly quiet and in a central location. Thanks to all.

^ and ^^. Thanks. Pain in the butt to be looking around again, but the regular place for the past few years is under renovation. Appreciate input.

I brought my family to the Windsor Suites(biggest atrium in Bangkok).

Looks impressive on arrival and I only paid 1500 baht a night although I did book for a month.

The lady manager there cannot do enough for you. She threw in free internet, I think 30 free pieces of laundry and free breakfast.

She also put an extra bed in the living room. A lovely lady

Look on there website and let me know what style of room you want and I will get you a nice discount

Its on Sukkhumvit Soi 20 and has a nice pool too

Probably the best location on lower Sukhumvit (there's an entrance a meter away from the escalator to Nana Station) but the rooms are TINY (even the 'bigger' ones are super-small)- they're quite well-appointed, but if you're going to be spending much time in the room apart from sleeping it will be pretty close-quarters.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

Mate, far and away the best place to stay regarding price, clean big rooms, good showers and big beds, access to the BTS, restaurants and nightlife is here.

You can get a good deal on The Royal Ivory, Suk soi 4. Central, short walk to the skyrail, plenty happening in the area, I stay here when I am not staying 5 star and you should pick up a good spacious room with small kitchnette for 1400bht or upgrade to the kings suites for about 2000.

    Staff and facilitites are excellent.

2k is a good budget for Bkk hotel already, plenty of good choice for this and as well plenty of bad traps for that if not advised, such as King Hotel taht is a catastrophy full of coacratches...

Playboy on soi 3 is only 800 thb, rooms are big, some coacs might pass by, but very central.

Ambassador is 1500 to 2500, Rembrandt a bit higher is within that range ans so many others...

Have a nice stay in one of the best city in the world to have a stopover!
