Eco-friendly cheap drinking water in KhaoSan Rd area

Just thought it would be useful to spread the word about a vending machine which you can refill your water bottles -
1 litre = 1 baht. So 20 times cheaper! and no new plastic bottles need be consumed. Tastes good too.

Its about half way down Thanon Rambuttri (the next street north and parallel to KS Rd).

The machine is easy to use and blue and white with the words Green PLUS.

So, spread the word to anyone now in, or soon going to, the Kohsan Road area.

It would be a good tip for fellow backpackers actually, better to mention it on thorntree.lonelyplanet.com though...

I would think most backpacker types would not have a container large enough to take advantage of this,

Better to just buy water at 7-11 and make sure the plastic bottle is recycled by a poor trash picker !

The machines charge per liter, you choose how many liters you want.
