Please help with these 4 quick Questions

    Hello,

Well, I have arrived. First question:

1.) Are there any lockers where I can put my tiny duffel bag during the day, or are these things not common in this country due to theft? In Tokyo there are lockers in all train stations and other areas where you can leave your bag all day long for about $3.

2.) Can anyone recommend a good place where I Can buy cheap jeans. The kick is that I want to try on the jeans before I purchase, so this may eliminate outside vendors. Any suggestions?

3.) With street vendors, those that don't have the prices of their food listed (alot of them), should I expect that they'll try to charge me more than they charge the locals?

4.) What is the neares train station to Khao San road? Once I get to the station, shall I walk or take a taxi or bus to Khao San Road?

BTW, for those that didn'yt check my other thread, its not that I want to be extremely cheap, its just that I only have a certain amount of money.

Not that I'm aware of. Can't you leave your bag in your hostel room? Ask the owner of the place you're staying in if they have secure storage.

You can try all the jeans on first even with outside vendors, usually behind a tiny curtain. Note: all jeans will be too long, but all vendors will trim them down to size for you, takes about 20-30 minutes. I would suggest the market at Siam, walk over the bridge from Siam Center.

My experience is you are charged the same, ask the price before buying. You should be expected to pay around 20-50THB per meal depending on what your buying.

Hua Lamphong, take the bus from here.

Some of these people are serious, like a Canadian I met on the 48 bus last year. She was going to On Nut and wanted to know where she could get a room for 100 baht a night, she smelt a bit as well.

Dunno about Bangkok but in Pattaya there are places with safety deposit boxes for rent. How "safe" they are I don't know but I'd guess they must be available in Bangkok.

As for trying your jeans on, just get yourself in a corner. You'll find the lady, if you're lucky, will stand behind you and shiled you from unwanted looks.

If you're really lucky she'll be young and tell you that you have a nice bum like happened to me in Cho Ben Thanh, HCMC. I gave her a nice tip and told her to go get her eyes tested.

    Thanks Filch

To everyone else, I'm too young to be a troll. Perhaps if I worked a boring office job, OR got horribly disfiguring diseases from banging too many Bangkok street walkers and this made me not want to leave the house, then I may have the time to be at troll. But, that is not the case. So every post you give is being read thouroghly. So, positive or negative, I appreciate it.

Have you put your 50 plus sunscream on?

Have you had the opportunity to wear your swanky clothes?

    Have you got laid yet?

You only have 12 days left of your holiday from hell....

I am keeping an eye on you from Switzerland... sorta like a big sisterish thingy

There's a few stalls on KSR that sell western sized clothing. Try opening your eyes.

For cheap clothes try Bobeh market, super cheap wholesale place or another option is Platinum fashion mall in Pratunam.

    Last time I checked I wasn't.
Bought plenty of stuff there in the past, mainly t-shirts and jeans.

I banged many Pattaya Beach Road street walkers and never got "horribly disfiguring" diseases , yet I was left with enough money for decent food, accomodation and transportation.
