| Cheap place NOT in KSR. 1. Can anyone point me in the direction of a cheapo place somewhere in the city, close to an MRT or BTS . I don't need swimming pools or TVs, just a bed to sleep off hangovers and a fan to keep the mozzies off. And one that will allow me to stagger in at undignified hours. About 500 baht or less mark. 2. Sim card, any recommendations for a sim to use for 3 weeks and then throw away? 3. From the airport, will be arriving late, no luggage and have spare time. Best way of getting to the city, do buses run late at night? |

| Thailand Forum | This place is very good and I often use it for clients staying overnight... walking distance to the new BTS extension which opens on the 15th May...if you come before you can walk to the river which is across the road and take the boat across (3baht) to the BTS at Saphan thaksin...

| ^^^ Yeah, I'm looking for that sort of place, but not in the KSR area. Though I will be staying in KSR later on in my visit, so will keep that in mind, sounds good. Thanks. |

There are actually 2 Swans - the first one, on the left as you're walking away from Suk, is 600 a night and a bit crap. The other, across the road and up a bit, showed me a better room for 700b, but I didn't stay there - wish I had. The airport buses go for 150b - AE3 goes to Suk, I think. You can get government buses or minibuses from the Transit centre for next to nothing, but these always seem too complicated to me. | |
