    Wally Raffles' new neighbourhood

Wally moved today with myself and a bloke named Gonzo assisting him in this daunting task, he moved not too far from his current abode to a slightly larger place a bit higher up too with a great balcony view of khlong San saeb and the buildings looking eastwards, quite a view in fact but not as good as my place last night when there was a heavy rainstorm.

The block itself is under renovation and the inconvenience of having to trudge through a dusty lobby packed with builders, plasterboard being ripped out and soi dogs while carrying wally's fragile belongings can be a bit testing.

Anyway, the walk up to his block is quite an eventful one, you got an "avenue slum", the trees are just surviving, which looks quite tempting, but when the glue sniffers accost you at 2am demanding some Loctite or Uhu, what are you meant to do?. There's a haunted house further down with a huge number of oversized cats lying around, and a few chickens hobbling about, several outdoor eating places I'm sure Wally will patronise, and a few mom and pop stores to stock up on supplies.

Oh, and he's a stones throw from the San Saeb Canal pier.

Best wishes for your time in your new home Wal. The traditional welcome basket of fresh-fruit and toilet-duck has been dispatched.

Let me guess, is it that dump laughingly named the 'Hi-Tech' Tower?

Wow! A whole 8,000 a month then? I knew one bloke who lived in Hi-Tech for about a year. He thought it was great, then I pointed out it was a sad cesspit of losers, with more warning notices in the lifts about what wasn't allowed than the visitors cage at Bang Kwan.
