    Toy Stores in Bangkok

Any recommendations in the 'Toys r Us' style? Would like to find children's scooters (those modern lightweight, fold up ones), and a qualitiy train (e.g Hornby) set, maybe hotwheels and subutteo. Cheers

Try Toys R Us.... there's one in Central World. You might find the scooter, doubt you'd get the other stuff though.

Small Toys'r'us in Fashion Island Minburi, big one in Central Bang Na

Robinsons in also OK for toys, as is the Mall.

Basically every shopping centre will have something, but they are not cheap.

Yup, they renamed the World Trade Centre as Central World. If you are in the UK you might as well buy the toys there and bring them with you. The selection in Thailand is not great. Just compare the Thai and the UK websites to see what i mean...

Thailand Toys"R"Us - Biggest range of hot toys and gifts for your kids: LEGO, Disney, Ben 10, Grow'n up, Little Tikes, Mattel...

    http://www.toysrus.co.uk

Do a search for train on the UK website and you'll get 230 hits... the Thai website has 5.

    Child scooter

Good luck. We looked at Toys R Us in Central World about 2 weeks ago for daughter's birthday present. They didn't have anything in the way of scooters although they did have some nice little bikes. We ended up buying a scooter at the toy section in Central Chidlom (6th floor) just down the road (attached to the Chidlom BTS station).
