Driving to ho chin min from Bangkok

Hire car to hcm, vietnam from Bangkok.

Can it be done or is the paperwork a nightmare at the borders?

Will the car rental places allow you to cross borders?

I wouldn't take my own car, it's a bit of a rough ride, also you might return without it for one reason or another...

That aint the right fare mate. All I know is there better be a shitload of dong to the dollar. I am gonna look this up for you seeing as you are gonna edit my book.

I got something like 220 usd. But I am sure you can beat that in Saigon. I will keep looking for ya mate.

Don't bother with Vietnam Air. They're useless and like to cancel flights.

I flew there with Lufthansa, but they no longer service that route.

Thai is your best option, but I can't remember how much the flights were. 12,000B return rings a bell.

MM: not sure which site you use as they have two...
    try this one http://www.thaiair.com/...

personally i think TG's website is one of the best airline sites...

but they all piss me off cause the only way you can get prices is to go through the booking routine...cvnts

cheers klongy - looks live 9,000 baht 1 way from hcm to bkk.

sing to hcm - sing - bkk is 9,000 baht

    sing - hcm - bkk = 12000 baht

Save 3,000 baht and take an extra flight....I don't think so.

Well its damn near exactly the same price in baht as dong. Can you imagine 3 million dong = 9,000 baht. Bring a wheelbarrow with you MeMock.

That's probably why they use Monopoly money in Vietnam.

Yup it Lufthansa but its not a daily flight. I will try to find out more while you are hob nobbing with the hiso!!

Thats just the printed fair. It will be cheaper.

I will get you Majestic Travels website when I get back home.

7200Baht was printed in yesterdays paper.

Cheeers ao - but please don't go to too much travel as the 7,200 baht price probebly doesnt include tax so will more then likely end up the same as thai airways 9,000 baht price. This is a business trip so I can write it off anyway
