Ever thought of using the search function or are you deliberately trying to wind me up?

I want one also...there was a thread and a great dentist was talked about, but never named.....elusive.

I need all my teeth fixed....they're fcuked. I have had toothaches for years and even fillings falling out.....but never been back to a dentist for years, hate the bastards with a passion....and the needle bit also.

I have been to Asavanant a few times and they do pretty good work.

I need a root canal and crown will probably let them have a go at it as well - I called and asked about it and they said something about needing five visits - two for the root canal and three for the crown. Never had a root canal anyone know if it should take that many visits or maybe there was a bit of a communication problem on the phone?

DAMN! Dontcha just love TD! Any type of info or reference to most anything Thailand-related. Just search the archival material....chances are, after 3 years, you'll find just about anything and everything.

I just went to BIDC on ratchada just a few metres past Robinsons for a checkup.

I knew I would need a lot of work, so decided to treat it like a repair job for my car....get quotes.

    All works required, 6 visits over 2 weeks....total 96,000baht.

Now while the amount of work I was pleasantly surprised with, I feel the cost was a tad high....here tis the breakdown.

Also should point out, I hate dentists....I had a tooth fixed 25 years ago, then did not visit a dentist for about 17 years, then got everything fixed in one lump sum about 8 years ago in Oz.

Around 3 years later, 2 of the crowns fell off and today they tell me a root canal treatment back then was not done completely 100%, so needs to be done again before crowned now.

I got a complete set of xrays (wholemouth) and 2 small ones for individula teeth for 1100b today.....here is the rest required....

    Root canal and post ......6500 + 3500
    Core and crowns x 4 .....1000 + 15000 each = 64,000
Large core and crown of old filling .....1000 + 14000
    Scale and polish....800
    Filling......1600 x 2 = 3200
    Filling.....2400

Next quote in the new year from BumGrab me thinks.....also the one at victory monument recommended above if any contact details are forthcoming......ooops, not mentioned above, another thread.

    Hi there,

I reckon I need about 3 fillings redone as they are about to go (not bad since they were done 15years ago). I will try Asavanant but has anyone tried the dentists at the new medihall at Ekkami BTS?

Maybe you should start getting quotes for a new head. Might not be too much more and could be done in one sitting.

There's one at the top of Soi Onnut. I went there and it took 2 hours to pull 2 wisdom teeth and it hurt like hell. So don't go there.

Just being to the Dental Hospital on Soi 49, Sukhumvit. Its quite good and I am happy with the work but its really expensive, similiar prices as BIDC.

I agree, BIDC is good place, decent prices, and well spoken English (from my experience there)
