    Bangkok Day Trips?

I'm looking for recommendations for nice day trips from Bangkok, preferably off the most well-beaten paths (Ayutthaya, Kanchahaburi, etc.) - thanks!

Get a train from under Phayathai BTS station to here, about 1.5 hours if I recall correctly. The line runs beside the new airport rail link then heads out into the rice fields.

Go to see Wat Sothorn there

If you go to Chachoengsao, you can also carry on a bit deeper into the province and go to a temple with thousands of large bats hanging in the trees and a man with elephantitis of the foot who I once posted a pic of. I still haven't don the day trip to CCs thread.

there is also a 100 year floating market on the road into CCS, so a 3 pronged cultural journey is possible.

You might like to spend a little more and have someone take you to some of the quirkier places...that way you get to see what you want with English-speaking guides, organised by an 'upstanding' Kiwi...

You're a prat at times Smeggers...have you ever been to Ampawa, the Floating Vineyards, the Human bread bakery, etc, etc...

Lots of choices offered at BangkokDayTours.com both well-known and little visited. Designed to cater to everyone's needs...

This is TD...the OP asked for info about tours...you offered one. I offered about 50...
