The Furniture Expo at the Impact Exhibition & Convention Center

The missus likes to window shop and she is into decorating the house so we decided to visit the Furniture Expo at the Impact Exhibition & Convention Center located in Muang Thong Thani. This expo seems to run every other month and sometimes every month. They have a wide selection of items that range from carp to elegant!

The Impact Exhibition & Convention Center has many expos and conventions. They have dog shows, furniture expos, travel expos, motor shows, live performances and conventions. The Lion's Club held their international convention their a month or tow ago.

They also have a nice selection of Western and Thai food there. You can get McDonald's, Subway or a tasty pizza there. They have a Thai food court for your wife's family, (if you take them along!

Here is the website for the Impact Center IMPACT Muang Thong Thani - IMPACT Arena, Exhibition & Convention Center and MICE

I have been there a few times.

Normally take the SkyTrain to MoreShit station and then taxi it the rest of the way.

How do you normally get there?

also what was the entrance fee for the show and were you able to purchase items there and have them delivered or was it just a showroom type setup ?

You can outfit every room with things from the expo.

Here are some bedroom set pics. The last one does not include the girl, its just a lazy worker.

You can purchase anything there and Mrs. Chi picked one thing out. There is no entrance fee. Even if you don't buy anything, it is fun to browse around and look at the the displays and then grab a bite to eat.

Can anyone guess which item in a photo displayed here was purchased by Mrs. Chi?

    Green for a correct answer!!!

food pics not included by the way.

I ordered a roast beef sandwich that was pretty tasty - 80 baht.

Would have been better if it came with fries.

I'm glad I didn't go, the furniture looks like shit - well out of date, it's like furniture for Asian people who want to be hi-so but have failed to keep up with European furniture styles of the past twenty years.

Sorry to change the subject but does anybody know the number for True Internet?

I'd like to smash everything in this photo with a baseball bat, preferrably an aluminium one because they make a better sound than wooden ones. I'd take particular pleasure in destroying the horrific gold swan rear left of the pic.

That sarny looks nice, i can just imagine the nam lie on dd's chin right now

    Furniture here is appalingly tacky.

Have a look at some of the gold lacquered crap that appears in photos of state occasions which they put out for heads of state. Most of them must be thinking, "My god. I've walked into a backstreet chinese restaraunt by mistake."
