In september I will be alone during daytime for the first week as the missus has to work. I am sure there are better things to do then to stay home with the inlaws.
So any suggestions what I could see or do?

Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy and Patpong.

^^Patpong is hardly excitement central during the day either.
You've been in Thailand many times (I think). What kinds of thing are of interest?Originally Posted by Fabian
Norton, I have not seen so much of Bangkok so far. For tourist spots just the main temples and the national museums so I would like some advice what else is worth to go there.
What part of the city will you be staying in?
Odd you would know Patpong is in the Silom area if you never partake.Originally Posted by Fabian
Isn't it obvious? I walked past it during daytime.
I will stay at Rangsit and Lad Prao.
A day at Jatujak Market might be interesting. I'm not staying in BKK now but there are a few TD members you could meet up with while there. Might be a few offer to have a beer and some conversation to get you out of the house during the day.Originally Posted by Fabian
Suggest you go to Timba's restaurant. Say hello and have a bite to eat. Nice guy so you'll enjoy.

Sure, Timba's is on my list anyway.
Meeting people for a beer came to my mind too of course though I am not sure who will be free during daytime on a weekday? Anyway, anyone willing to meet me please tell.
Piss orf!
Soi 7 beer garden. You could say you were raped as it wouldn't be too far from the truth.
Nah, I am too shy. I think I better go to some museum instead.
Check out Ratchadaphisek Road old chap. Fortune IT mall, then down to Esplanade and catch a film, and finish off the afternoon with a a massage from somewhere like Emmanuels .
^ That's traditional thai massage I guess?
Navy museum I really consider and maybe grand palace too as the first time I have been there wife number one lost interest after the temple and got hungry.
Think I will be ready for lunch at soi 7 then. What kind of beer do they have there?
The usual crap. I think lunch down Silom would be betterer with one of you old buddies.Originally Posted by Fabian
Looking forward to it Fabian. I'm definitely down for a few beers.
Marmite, of course that should be done too.
Timber, you mean in the afternoon?
Timber's is best in the evening when the wine flows free and the dead cow prances onto your plate.Originally Posted by Fabian
