Actually, I enjoy classical music. Damn hard to drink beer at concerts though.

Jello shots. Pass a few to the conductor and he'll encore with Stairway to Heaven.

    What? Broke Back Concert

Is that the movie about two boys who shared a tent in band camp?

One played the fiddle, the other the flute.

Very good concert as you would expect from a German orchestra specialising in the music of just one German composer. Loved the nonchalant air about the Bass player, Rainhard Leuscher who, I presume, is married to his instrument and no longer needs to look either at it, the conductor, or the music in order to achieve the desired result.

Not much chance of any alcohol since it is the beginning of Buddhist Lent. That's right, no alcohol served in the interval, but Mavis from across the road had set up a tent where you could buy her speciality home-made doughnuts and paper cups full of Ovaltine prepared with the aid of a plastic kettle.

Thai Cultural Centre really has got to sort this side of things out as last night's interval had that "church Bazaar" feel about it. "More tea vicar?"

The concert was excellent and the orchestra did their best to get into the spirit of Bangkok by presenting us with "Hair on a G string" as an encore.

OK, I apologise for that, but this is Thailand....

    Air in G minor.

    The cigar music.

.... and inspiration for Procol Harum's Whiter shade of Pale.

Mavis could probably score you a bottle of Coke if you asked nicely.

I see fish. They are everywhere. They don't know they are fish.
