Bangkok Hua Lamphong Train Station

Hua Lamphong is Bangkoks main train station, it is all no smoking now it connects up to the MRT so that is pretty handy, apart from that it is pretty boring, well unless you got a train to catch.

Inside is places like starbucks and KFC, also has your traditional Thai snacks and meals.

Bangkok Hua Lamphong Train Station

Here is a picture of the platforms with trains waiting to leave for other places.

The stained glass is supposedly a great feature of this railway station, looked pretty crap and tame to me, no baby Jesus or any designs like that on it.

This looks like a homemade high pressure washer the Thai guy is washing the train with, don't see erm like that back in the UK.

I'm quite looking forward to catching the train to Bkk from Pattaya for a change. Due to go on the 23rd December.

Thats good news that they got that train up and running, not that I go there but you never no as soi 6 sounds fun.

Anyway, the restaurant in the train station has a great stall selling Indian food and its in the back left hand corner as you enter.

Give it a crack.

First time we ever went to Hua Hin from Bangkok was on the train. It was awesome seeing the country side in a different way.

I almost missed a train there once.

Went to the toilet and while having a wizz my wife calls me (she is on the train) and says they are leaving.

I zip up and take off and have to run almost 200 metres jumping over everyones bags, dodging kids etc to jump on.

You sure she didn't pay the train driver a few hundred baht to get him to take off early

What is the past tense for wizz? Because if I'd run 200 metres I'm sure I'd been weazon.

Hehe, nah had already had a couple of beers while waiting for the train so it took a while to drain!
