    Hi there,

Sorry to bother you all again with these silly questions, but i was thinking of buying some handicraft lamps for chrismas presents and send them home, will they work in the UK, obviously I have to change the plugs, but is that all that will be necessary??

Just change the plugs, as far as I'm aware.

    Worked for me.

On a cautionary note, if there is any metal work involved, you might want to run an earth to the plug as well.

I tried getting 13amp cable with earth for the fridge in LOS ,as we got a tingle when opening the door, had to bring some from UK as I could'nt find any in Home Pro. also found the electrician had coiled the earth and not connected to the socket on the wall when wiring the house.
