    6 Hours In Bangkok

    Hi,

I have 6 hours betweeen flights in Bangkok and wondered if it was worth coming out of the airport. It will be 10 AM. Are there any bars open at this time?
Or any bars near the airport?

    Thanks

    Dubaidave

not really worth it IMO. by the time you get through immigration etc taxi into town, you'd have only an hour or so to get back to the airport etc.

Airport has massage shops and places that sell beer. Best stay there IMHO

Yep I'd agree with KW...a long way from the airport to the city and allowing for the traffic 6 hours is not really enough...

Take awhile longer to get it ready, but when done the link will make a quick trip to town look nice for layovers. Main station is close to Soi Cowboy.

    Thanks guys,

I was kind of hoping the bts would be open, never mind. Does anyone know if tere are any temples or other places we could visit near the airport?

My traveling companion has never been to Thailand and is not very happy with just staying in the airport.

    Thanks Again

Dave: Immigration here is a bit hit and miss...last time I came back I was driving my car out of the carpark 20 mins after the plane landed - no checked baggage - but last week had some clients who queued for 2 hours to get through immigration...

if the queues were short then it might be good to just pay for a limo for a two hour tour of the area near to the airport...seeing as your friend has never been to Thailand...
