    Around the neighborhood...

Let's take a tour around the 'mooban'. Probably boring for most of you. Anyway, this is where I buy my Beer Chang.

This is the owner sitting watching TV.

I buy my LM 'daengs' from this young lady. Her mom sells 'somtom' by the side of the shop.

Getting ready to buy dog food for our massive guard dog. A bag of Pedigree sells for B180.

This young lady cuts my hair. I pay her B200 as she does an excellent scalp massage.

This lady walks around selling various veggies. I usually buy bananas from her for B30.

This is an old style pharmacy. The govt is trying to get rid of them.

Now here is the new approved style of buying drugs.

Now, I need to go to the market to buy a few things.

Come on inside! I should introduce you to one of the owners. She always laughs at me...

You can buy lottery tickets, flowers and 'kanom' here.

If you need the thingy-ma-jiggy for the house the local harware store probably has it.

Shoes need repairing? This guy does it from his little stall on the side of the street.

The teenagers hang out here and play online games for B20 or so per hour.

Trying to keep the dogs from watering the sidewalks! Actually, it looks like the dogs try to aim for the water bottle. Anyway, some multi-million baht home owners put these bottles out home enhancement.

Used to live near the first shop. Actually met HB there about 3 years ago.
I'm very good friends with the motorbike repair shop owner, Pin's dad (real name unknown) his daughter is the same age as my son.

The owner of the old-style pharmacist seems to be a bit of a mentalist (a nice bloke, but a bit off his head) if you ask me, although he does seem to be the only place that sells charcoal.

This lady and all the staff at this place are very friendly - so friendly that my son is too scared to go in the place 'cos they all try and kiss him - poor kid.

I love the hardware store - many is the time I've gone in there and had to mime what I wanted - and I've always managed to come out with something - although not always what i wanted!!!
