    Arnoma hotel

This is the hotel opposite the WTC.

    Anyone stayed here?

    What's it like?

Have you tried the Nana Hotel?

Nah haven't tried the nana mate. I heard it is really family friendly.

What I need is a half decent hotel for the wife and me and a infant. Finding a place with a lounge room type of thing seperate from the bedroom for ariya to sleep in would be perfect. Between 2-3,000 baht is the budget. Any suggestions?

Mm: I've never stayed there but done some work there.
It has an excellent reputation...mainly patronised by the swiss
facilities are good..but location is not the best...no bts access..unless you fancy the 2km hike in the polutted air on the walkway they've suspended under the bts

    Thanks Klongy for your reply.

Not quite sure i understand the bit about the bts 2km walk. Surely I would just walk out the door, turn left up the stairs into gaysorn shopping centre and then pop out the other side at chidlom station. 5mins max.

Windsor Suite in Sukhumvit Soi 20 should fit the bill. I have some photos somewhere if you are interested.

oh..they've constructed a walkway under the skytrain but above the road from CWP to either Siam or Chidlom

and they've renamed the WTC to CWP Central World Plaza

One I have been staying at is Grand Business Inn on Sukhumvit Soi 11. Only 50m from BTS Nana.

Recently opened with well equipped, stylish rooms at a good price. Quiet, despite it's location. I think the suite, which might suit you best, is 1800. Room service via a restaurant in the lobby give good AND cheap food 24 hours.

Small hotel with very friendly staff.

No pool or stuff like that, though...

Make sure you don't make a mistake and go to the non-Grand Business Inn, which is owned by the same group and also in Soi 11. That one has very tired rooms and beds about as hard as a billiard table.

Business Inn used to have a deal where you could use the pool at Swiss Park a few yards down the road but I'm not sure if that is still available or not.
    Lord, deliver us from e-mail.

Funny that Klongy, the Arnorma is about 50 metres from Chit Lom BTS!
Maybe it's 2kms to Sala Daeng!!
It's opposite the World Trade centre MeMock and what's even better is..............It's only ten minutes from my place!!!!!!!!!

    We can meet up!

MeMock - I stayed at the Arnoma last year and wasn't very impressed. The rooms weren't very nice for 2300 baht a night and the beer garden outside CWP was very loud and audible in the rooms. The only saving grace(s) were the very good buffet breakfast and the very central location.

you guys sure like to throw your money about!!

a hotel is just for sleeping, so why spend a fortune on some place that is full of all sorts of nonsense you dont need? pools and minibars and restaurants and all

any good, clean places in Bkk for under a B1000?

I used to stay at a place near JJ market for B500 a night, really nice, but now they only want long term guests, minimum a month...sad.

I tried A1 Inn, near MBK, and all those but not very nice any more
    I have reported your post

    chateau de bangkok

if you are ready to give 2 to 3 k i would suggest to try the Chateau de Bangkok On the Ruam Rudee, Nana is walking distance...

You can actually get a suite, hudge room, with TV seating area, eating table for 6 other end, a kitchen, big bedroom with real king size in it, bathroom with 2 sinks, jacuzzi, separate toilet room..... ( available at 3.5K all included instead of 8k normally... )
really nice 5 star experience there....

yes just over your budget of 3 k but what a treat..., they have room as well i think 2 K, but the suite is something...

2 to 3 k budget gives a huge selection of top places in bkk....

Monday,Tuesday, then it goes WTF !

    700 thb place

PB hotel near the Bumrungrad...( playboy hotel )

good place for the money, allways available rooms ; downstairs for few hours upstairs bigger room, less equiped as the gineco chair is missing, can see some coakcrachres around some time, may be the girl friend can be hungry and this would then be handy....

PB for just a sleep is great place....

Ask for bedsheet! it is now a way for them to have a tip i think....

They have a special room in the corner huge for 2k or so, fully equiped i heard but not yet tried....

Pooly..50 m wouldn't even get you to the main road let alone to the station, which is one block from CWP

    okay it's not 2kms but it's a long way further than 50m.
i'm just trying to think of a guy with a pram

Thanks klongy and marmite for pointing out that I am not interested in how close it is to Nana or if I need to ask for clean sheets or pay for 'extra guests'.

Apart from those posts there have been some good suggestions and even though the arnoma (what a stupid name) is the perfect location there have beena few negative reviews and i am worried about the noise from the wtc beer gardens which would be only 50m away. I think i might be leaning towards the place on soi 20, the windsor suites or something. Now who was it that said they had pics? Dougal i think - PM is on its way.

Now who was it that said th

The rear exit from the Arnorma is prolly only 50 metres from the Chit Lom bts stop Klongy which is incredibly convenient in my book.

    Pedantic??

Well who was it that said it was 2 kilometres away from the bts?
And now you're arguing the toss over whether it's 50 or 100 metres!!

Have you even seen the hotel?
I walk past it at least once a week on my way to Chit Lom BTS.
I mean Klongy, you should have backed out of this discussion in embarrassment ages ago.
