Thanks to everyone who read my story and your responses. Yes I realise I could have easily been killed, so I see it as unlucky and lucky at the same time. Its also an insignificance compared to the sad incident at Erawan shrine that happened a few days ago.
But yea, the event was like a wake up call really. I dedcided to come back to the UK and train to be a qualified teacher after that, and hopefully Ill get employed out there again in a better school.
I do miss Thailand and hope it becomes safer. Anyone think its getting better or worse out there in terms of safety? Ive heard guys on bikes stealing bags is really common but nobody really gets hurt in that...
Seems like you have encountered a rough buggering, Icky...Was your head squeezed as well?...Heh...Originally Posted by Iceman123

You should have gone the police hospital in Chit Lom. It would have been a hell of a lot cheaper
Your naivety is quite depressing. Thailand is getting more dangerous by the year and will not improve since there is no meaningful rule of law that might deflect it from that trajectory.
I suggest you grow up a bit and build your career before taking decisions which you are evidently unqualified to make at the present time.
