It's OK but a bitch - IMHO to get to. Either come down Rama 2 and the miserable traffic at that choke point where Rama 2 dumps onto the Chonburi Expressway or drop down the tollway from the airport and cut over. Either way it's frustration city.

Easy way to get there is take the BTS out to Udonsuk and jump the dedicated Bagna shuttle bus.

Ones there in 15 minutes, peace of piss. Bring ya back to Udonsuk when you're ready.

Or take the outer ring road to Bang Na-Trat and exit at Mega. But yes still a choke point for a while.

I caught a taxi from my serviced apartment at Srinakarin. Five minutes and no traffic. There is a dedicated u-turn bridge straight into the car park.

Yeah, it's easy if you got a taxi from close by and a driver who knows the shortcuts but moi coming down there mebe once or twice a year (only because the old lady brow beats me into it) finds it a bitch...

Fresh air and an awesome view of the bkk skyline. The further out the better for me. I looked at a couple of places at Latkrabang airport link station but they weren't as nice as where I am.

Yeah, gotta get more clued-in to this GPS I have. Basically been using it to ID roads and not as a voice-activated navigation aid.

BTW, agree with you on those Swedish Meatballs in Ikea. They really suck.

But it's true and since terry mentioned them, it brought back the stomach discomfort I experienced after eating a couple of those 'meatballs'.

    Indeed.
You wouldn't last a day in the real "further out".

Spent three of them in Sangkhlaburi and five of them in Sakhon Nakorn / That Phanom. It doesn't get any further out.

Remember that movie "The Blues Brothers" where Jake & his brother are cruising thru that shopping mall with their ex-copmobile smashing into stores etc? One of them says: "This mall has everything"

Think of MgaBangna like it does have it all.

    its my favourite shopping centre,.

some nice bars and restaurants there too.

hippotamus is child friendly and sells some nice steaks. the Wine&Beer place opposite has awful service though.
