    Looking for furniture

I've been asked where to buy some decent furniture in Bangkok, I'm not all that sure what kind of thing they're after so any suggestions of what is available and where and I'll pass the info on..

    Cheers.

What about this place on on Ratchadapisek road just 50 meters before Ratchada Soi 17. The shop name is "Le Design" There you can find reproduction furniture chair, armchair, sofa, daybed and also glass table and shelf. They also sell online you can visit their online store

Unless they are making it here you are going to find the import tax makes it cheaper to buy outside of Thailand.

A few empty milk and beer crates set up strategically in the right colour code with some Big C bulk bags filled with chicken feathers makes a great and non biodegradable and termite free solution.

Anywhere in Klong Toey you can get a great bargain after hours.

Someone's junk is someone else treasure

Quite popular amongst some Bangkok elite who have more money than common sense. It's not uncommon to see a TV camera crew filming one of these numerous cheap TV program Thai people love. Popular also amongst young couple who come to take wedding pictures. A lot of weird stuff, but totally overpriced IMO.

Worth a stop if you are in the neighborhood and you have a couple of hours to kill.

Fashion Island has a large range of furniture shops - most are the usual crap, but some have good stuff.

To be honest, Index has a fairly decent range and they're not too expensive.

Podium at seacon have some nice rubber wood stuff, looks like mahogany when it's stained. Bought something from ikea but it broke while putting it together. Index is not good value as almost nothing is real wood
