Cha Am / Hua Hin hotels or rental house.

Can anyone give me some advice on a good place to stay in Cha Am or Hua Hin?? I have been there many times but the last time was about 6 years ago and the place has changed.

My family are coming over in October and that includes 5 adults and 2 children + myself the misses and our 2 boys. So totally 7 adults and 4 kids

I was thinking about a rental house or a hotel, plus and minus points about both but if anyone can give their recommendations on where they stayed, i would be more than grateful.

    Cheers

I've lived in Cha-am for 11 years. Here's the best hidden away restaurant that I've been to...Rang Yen, Cha-am - Restaurant Reviews - TripAdvisor

They also have a couple of bungalows and a house for rent in their grounds.
1 minute from the beach and well worth a look.
    Regards. Charley.

BTW. I've never stayed there but it is a little oasis in Cha-am, not for everyone though!

Cheers. Budget would around 2000 baht per room in a hotel so that would 8,000 baht a day for a house rental. Staying for 2 weeks and hopefully ask for a discount

There are nice bungalows down near the hospital. maybe Charlie will know the name of them, they have swimming pools and a nice view of the mountain. I think they were about 30k a month.

I will call a mate later and see if he remembers what they were called

I had a big 2 bed house down in Cha Am for 8k a month, it was no mansion, but with your budget you will easily find somewhere very nice. If you take a trip down there you will find many places.

Hua Hin will be more expensive, but it's only a 20 min drive away from Cha Am. I prefer Cha Am to be honest, the traffic's a lot better than Hua Hin.
There's loads to do for the kids in whichever place you choose, ATV park, paint balling, water park up Black Mountain and obviously the beaches and Monkey mountain

You can go further south by 90 or so kilometers to Prachup Khiri Khan and stay in the Air Force hotel on base for 800 baht/per night, nice beach, swimming pool and 9 hole golf course near-by. Quiet, peaceful and mostly locals working for the Government.

Major sea side views, lots of beaches hardly used, daily fresh sea food, open air dining and prices are better than Hua Hin or Cha Am. No action, no real bar scene.

    Avatar is from this location.

I agre with Itnt, that's if you want to be somewhere quiet.
Dillie I think you mean บ้านตะวัน Baan Tawan. Very nice bungalows with swimming pool although, I don't know who to contactใ
This link Cha Am - Ban Tawan Hua Hin will give you an idea of the layout.
