Central Chidlom has been the most reliable source of shoes for the well-endowed over the years. Even had big ol' homegrown Docs last time I looked. And the price was just shocking.

Cheers BLD. There used to be a friendly and industrious katoey selling men's shoes there who would call around to other branches to check availability of sizes and models. Amazing.

BLD I have the same problem. I have in the past found some in Central Chidlom but not on my last visit. They are expensive there and basically little choice.

I have had more luck at Robinsons, also expensive on Sukhumvit Soi 19 -attached to Asoke BTS.

Possibly because there is less choice and I can point to every shoe there and ask for it in my size.
I have not had much success in Thailand or anywhere for that matter in the sales assistant using their initiative and suggesting shoes they do have in my size.

Getting shoes is possibly my biggest problem in Thailand (which means my life here is pretty good). The last time I bought shoes it was in Singapore.

Oh how I would like to be able to pop in to a Thai shoe shop and buy whatever catches my eye.

My helpful post has been deleted. All the centrals and robinsons have size 12 US shows, and depending upon what you are after, a lot of the shops in central shopping malls as well. Have to note that some are marked 11 UK or 12 US (same) so you need to try them on to get the idea.

I am the same size, and just pick up all the ones I like and send the little girl off to bring them back, Saves a truck load of time. Some times then have a little card on them with sizes on and a strike next to the size indicating if they have any of that size - they cross it out when sold out. These are usually in Euro or US sizes though. All very confusing.

I suppose this is possible, since I only ever look for size 11 US, but it certainly is the case that most Centrals and their B stores (aka Robinsons) never have size 11 in stock. At least not in the kind of shoes I want to buy: Rockports, Clarks and the like.

    Hey BLD,

Just cut a few foking toes off or something and then you will be down to size 9"s.

    Easy Bra.

MBK has a few big sized shoes but hard to get the style you want. I need size 48 and they are rare.

Supply and demand mate - the local thai shoes are never this big, so people with smaller feet can buy them, so the smaller sizes in the RPs or clarks etc don't run out. However, us big footers have no choice, so we buy them all up, and the Thai shops never think of stocking more. I've never had a problem though getting the shoe I want although it does sometimes mean going to a couple of different outlets.
