Sad Indictment on Thai Education

In the abscence of my beloved, I was led astray into the netherworld of Nana plaza this evening...

on the second floor there's a bar with one of those mirror ceilings - with no girls dancing upstairs! - however there were some lovelies at eye level and one took my fancy...

she came to sit with me and her story was thus...yesterday she had her Mathiyom Six "graduation ceremony" in Buriram and today she's whoring in a bar in Bangkok...

she took the time to show me her album of photos from yesterday complete with pics of her in her gown together with each of her teachers...

I couldn't help but wonder what would her teachers think if they knew that tonight she was selling herself in a bar ...

oh..and no I didn't take her...she wanted 4000 baht short-time and she was no looker...but someone had instructed her well and that seemed to be the going rate...

a long time since I've been to nana and even longer since I've barfined a girl but at those rates I would have to think about becoming celibate...

On the way home I stopped at a friendly bar near my house and had one beer...when I tried the give the waitress a tip she refused on the basis that I tipped her yesterday!!!...so why am I drinking in nana?...

She's better off in Nana making money and angling for a farang boyfriend and/or husband than she is wasting time in Buriram.... (IMHO)

Better to start early and get it over with than wait until she's 28 with 2 kids and an absent Thai "husband."

BTW Bringing her school pictures seems a ploy for sympathy. Did she speak English? Seems too clever by half....

you're exactly right HB: she knew her way round and all the right things to say - and do - I think she's be working there for a while...but it was a new slant on an old story...

sure...the place was busy and she wasn't about to negotiate...as soon as I said no she was off to the next punter totally unfazed...so they are paying that amount it seems...
