A little bit of Upstairs advice needed

Hi,
We are 2 families going to Bangkok in April. On the first night, when the kids are tucked in bed the adults want to go to Patpong. First they want to see Elvis in Radio city then they want to see a ping pong show.
Now I have done my research and know that we would most likely have to go to one of the upstairs bars to see such a show.
However I am very unsure about taking our wives there as I have heard so many stories of people being ripped off and held ransom til they pay huge bills.

There can any of the nice TD members sugest a place we could go. They are determined they want to see the full works. We have no problem paying a premium to see the show as long as we know in advance what the cost will be.

Can anyonbe offer advice?

most, have no cover and simply charge for drinks. negotiate with the people out front and confirm with those who serve you inside when you order. also check the bill when it comes. pretty straight forward. seen one pussy show you've seen'em all.

those who perform will want a small tip. as will any girls that show you attention.

Just pay for you drinks as you go and I wouldnt worry about the your wives as last time I went to one it was full of female japanese tourists dont go much on the sex show but the dildo shows are good and it is really pretty amazing what these ladys can do with their muff.

Years ago they had a great show in Super Girls...

most of what you want to see is available in Soi Cowboy which is much friendlier and less rip=offs than Patpong...no Elvis though...

"Kings Group" bar's used to have a good reputation, don't know about now. Must be three or four years since I've been to Patpong. Must make the 'effort' to go over tehre again soon.

One of the small upstairs bars tried to rip me and a mate off when I first went there about 6 years ago. Luckily, we were with a bunch of Irish rugby players, so they backed down.

I've no idea what it's like now though.

We only have one night to see the shows. The second night the men are in Pattaya and the last night we are going to Sirocco.

incidently I was in Suzie Wong last night and their beer prices have been increased to 140 baht for a Heinnie...seems a tad excessive when most of the bars in cowboy are 120 baht...have to say though that the bar was chokker so obviously the punters don't agree with me...

Think Sheebas is better than Suzie Wong - I would recommend going there instead (directly across and owned by the same person last I recalled). Has the lesbian show and everything around 10-11 PM or there abouts. Other types of shows available at times as well (Candle Wax, Body Painting, etc.).

Not that I am complaining at all, but I sure do agree with you - we get shitloads of time off. For example, we have 4 months off for summer alone - plus vacation time for Christmas, Spring Break, "Reading Week", etc.
