Vientiene to BKK (Nok air) what up with long transfer time?

I checked in detail, from nokair site, Vientine to BKK around 9 hrs.
In detail, they mention about getting on shuttle buss to nongkhai, udon etc etc
many transfers.. what the hell? is this called service???

Is there any better options? I wanna get there fast and back fast... thats the point of airplane righto?

You can drive Vientiane to Bangkok in 9 hours or less, maybe a better idea.

Quickest. You can fly direct to Vientiane no problem. Except is isn't the cheapest because it is an international flight. You can get visa on arrival the same $50, or whatever it is, that one gets at the border.

Correction: The "locals" fly to Udon then make their way across the border themselves. Bus? Taxi?to the border, walk a bit, bus over the bridge, Lao taxi/tuk tuk etc.

Never been to Laos before? In a hurry? Fly direct.

Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?

well i checked quotes from lao, thai air and cost around 10K return...
nok air is around 4k return.

nokair route is to udon and bus to vientiene, viceversa for return...
also i dont have the energy to drive myself to lao and back... would prolly costs more for fuel etc...

correction* actually 4 hr to lao, 6 hr back to bkk..

its because nok dont fly into vientiane , they fly to udon then they bus you to nongkhai / vientiane , it sounds like it would take a while but 9 hours seems a bit excessive .
Jack me off,s give n some useful info, also read in the vientiane times that bangkok airways will start VTE BKK in november
