Marmite - Sale of the Century

So I just went to Villa on 33/1 to purchase some marmite. All marmite afficionados will appreciate the pain of parting with 199bt for that tiny bastard 125g jar. The big one (anniversary union jack edition no less) was a killer 360bt. Fuck-it, caution to the wind and all that I grabbed the 250g.

It went through the checkout - girl asked for 156bt instead of 360bt. Needless to say I went straight back and bought another 5 jars.

    Get down there now.

Thanks for the heads up! I've only got one jar of regular Marmite left after I just finished my limited edition jar of Marmite XO.

It was a sad morning when I came downstairs after a night on the piss, to see the empty jar sat on the living room table surrounded by a mountain of toast crumbs. I can't even remember finishing it.

Comparing vegemite to marmite is like comparing african bush weed with high grade hydroponic.

    There is no discussion

Just because it was first does not make it better.
Exorcism, for example, was the original cure for epilepsy.

Marmite is filled with added sugar to appease kiddies palates. Vegemite contains no added sugar and that produces tough little bastards who wolf it down knowing it is a health food not a confectionary.

^no, but marmite is certainly a world renowned cure for epilepsy developed due to consuming vegemite.

Must agree, Vegimite is better. Marmite tastes like a yeast producing gash.

Vegemite is iron's gear, watered down coffee coloured poofs condiment.

I've just had three more jars of marmite - not many left now.

I'd be happy to do a blind taste test in the name of science. As long as someone goes to the shop to buy the Vegemite for me. I don't want the girls at Villa to think I've turned gay.

    And there you have it.
    Added sugar.
A must sweetner for the soft pommy palate.

Don't worry about it, they already know.

Now I've got no idea what most of these stats mean but it looks to me like Marmite is a clear winner.

You get more energy from Marmite and it looks like Vegemite has got no Vitamin B12 in it which is key to normal brain functioning. This explains why the ozzies are even arguing about this with us. Where's your B12 lads?
