    Buddha blessed the Klong?

I have only seen these in small rural villages, ie the type of Thai village that has a number rather than a name. must still be a few of those about in deepest darkest Isaan.

Normally they are near a wat and the local monks take care of it, just a small roofed area with 2 water jugs inside, drinking the water I was told would bring you good luck, looking round the village, the health of the locals and the poverty I decided to give it a miss, wouldn't want to end up like that I can tell you.

Still, it's the thought that counts, thanks Mr Monks.

Isn't that just an old Thai tradition to help the weary traveller?

You could be right, but my version is more interesting, also it is usually the monks who keep it filled I believe, although this one is probably done by the local business owners, but going thirsty isn't so bad when you have no idea of the cleanliness of the water

I'd rather remain thirsty than spend the next few days and nights ejecting liquids from both ends.

I'm sure there's a few posters that could do with the weight loss involved though.

Not sure you are supposed to drink it but some do,more flick it over yourself or just a quick wash with a cup full.
You know how the monks flick water over you at the temple.
When our Gert brings water back from the temple we just wash with it.

I doubt it. Thai monks tend to do fuck all for anyone except themselves.

It seems the few you do see are very well looked after.
