Where should I go for Iphone4 unlock etc?

Well, I'm back with yet more questions :-)

Basically I have a spare iphone 4 that I wish to give to an old teerak when I get to BKK next month. Should I try and jail-break it myself here in the UK before I take it over, or get her to do it herself in BKK? It is currently locked to 02.

What are the pros/cons/costs of this?

    Thanks!

    Depends on your firmware/baseband.

Search google/ebay for gevey sim... that'll do the job.

    ^Agreed.

If you find yourself out of answers let me know. I use all custom firmware to JB my own iPhones as well as my wife's and her whole family...Depending on said iPhone's firmware\baseband, I could do it in an hour for a few pints

Good luck, And be careful giving a bird an iPhone Sii...She may disappear!

O2 will do the unlocking for you on request, but it's free or 15 quid depending on your contract. I'd do that before you jailbreak.

Good advice mate, but I have been around the block a few times. She doesn't know I'm even gonna be in BKK. I'm just stopping over for a few days before I hit Phnom Penh. She is a wonderful person who I have known for 8 years now. Just want to give her a nice pressie while I'm in town.

Thing is the phone is already jailbroke and has Cydia etc. It is IOS 4.0.1.

I know I could take it over as it is, but I have stored so many important things on it in the past I need to be sure that it is completely deleted before I give it away.

Can MBK or somewhere not do this for cheap if the IPHONE4 has been updated to the latest firmware????

Ahhrrrggg, I will actually be glad to see the back of this f****g thing!

Listen to Harry's advice to unlock it

Don't bother jailbreaking it, the battery life becomes shite

Google "Jailbreak and battery drain", you will see

    There are no methods.
iPhone 4 and 5 are network registered with apple. You can jailbreak all day and it won't unlock.
Your provider will usually unlock for 50 bucks ..
