What's around MRT Phra Ram 9 MRT station

    Hi everyone,

Lived and holidayed in Bangkok many times over the years but have only ever been to this part of town once or twice.

In December the family (wife and 3 young kids) have booked a nice apartment in the new Belle condominium project for a week which is just behind Central Plaza Rama 9.

Was just wondering if there is anything close by of interest. By that I mean really good coffee shops or mid level restaurants - especially Japanese - but any cuisine really I guess.

Also, any decent indoor playgrounds? Kids are aged 10, 8 and 4.

Am hoping the weather will be cool enough so anything outside? Parks, beer gardens?

1st Test between Aus and NZ is also on during this time. Am keen to grab a day away from the family and watch this in a good sports bar somewhere. Anywhere close or do I need to jump a taxi to Bradmans on soi 23 (or somewhere else??)

    Thanks

    MM

Well Belle is behind central rama 9 which is full of Jap food and coffee shops. You are 2 stops from Sukhumvit on the MRT which is close to you as well. Head up the other way and you have the Esplanade which has lots for Kids to do.

There are not many bar etc in that area that I know of until you get to Asok. You'd be better to go to your regular joints.

Might be - been a while sinse I was on Rama 9 to be fair. However,

However, this little hottie was taking a picture there this morning

So I would assume that it is open.

This looks like a neighborhood shopping center by any standard, but it has all the amenities inside. We initially went for the night market (old railway) behind and suddenly it rain and we took shelter inside this mall, nice small and packed shops and has sometimes centralized bargains on ground level. every levels featured different theme and you will be..

Esplanade Shopping Center (Bangkok, Thailand): Address, Specialty & Gift Shop Reviews - TripAdvisor

And this lad is chuffed to bits about his movie ticket he has just purchased

So we can assume it is open....

Its a good mall - parking is a night mare, but it is decent, and fairly quiet as well.

Ratchada soi 4 used to be in that area with lots of fun bars. I think it's had a condo and the shopping centre built on it though. Not progress

Nice pics pseudolus and thanks for that info.

Looks like when with the kids we will basically be hanging out at the shopping centre and the awesome looking pools at the condo. Maybe jump a taxi to the park as mentioned above.

Is the Bradman still open and showing cricket or do people suggest somewhere else?

Certainly not closed. Behind the mall is a fantastic night market full of very cool things from local merchants and artisans as well as lots of good food. Definitely worth a look.
Many bars, pubs etc. on Soi 4 Ratchada. Mostly Thai though and adventuresome farang.
Fortune Town mall is full of restaurants and has a great IT area upstairs.
Very lively area of town full of restaurants and shopping.

Google not working so well these days it seems? Must be the back wash from the helicopter knocking down your cables?

    Bradman Bar

Don't forget as well that you are surrounded by entertainment complexes. No need for you to ever be bored, and as the Belle condo is owned by the people who built and run La Belle entertainment complex down the road and their sister entertainment complex, Utopia, you might even even get a discount club card for use there.

    See

La belle - Bangkok's leading entertainment complexes.

They have a full range of entertainment there, according to their website.

    Basics in Floristry

Shop window Design School - with mannequins

    Chinese Cultural lessons

More floristry - advanced courses for hotel room decoration.

Gift rapping service for French nationals to celebrate the forthcoming Noel celebration.

A Santa service - available for home visits apparently, or instore

A Laundry that washes your clothes whilst you are still wearing them

and some dirty big titted girls you can bang.

and they show a full range of sports as well.

La Belle Bangkok Thailand Massage and Spa

So get down there as soon as you move in and lets have a decent photo thread from you. IN detail. A lot of detail. The sort of detail that needs to be hidden in the members section.

"Entertainment Venue" for you seems to be a brothel.

So pitiful really, but I suppose if one is as repulsive as you evidently are it is scarcely surprising.

Oh dear - the multinik has a problem. Shown to be a fool on multiple threads, so now is stalking me. What a clown.....

As you are seemingly a complete fool, perhaps you misunderstood the play on the fact that most tourists, and sex tourists who took the ultimate long time bar fine like you, only think of Rachada as being the land of soapies.
