Bangkok Taxi Prices to the Provinces

If you are in Bangkok and feeling really rich you can get a Bangkok Taxi to the Province of your choice, at prices like 10,000baht to go to Hat Yai by taxi or maybe 800baht by train or bus it is an expensive way to travel, but the option is there.

Left column is KM, although not very accurate, right column is price.

It always makes me laugh when a fukin lunatic of a driver who has given me a white knuckle ride then turns around, gives me his card, and asks if I fancy hiring him for a trip to CM for tripple the cost of a return flight. Insanity. Welcome to Thailand.

Went to ubon and back by taxi once cost 5000 baht, only down side Thai taxi driver fell asleep 3 times on the way back i had to wake him up other wise we would have crashed into the back of a cement mixer around 4am in the morning.
Got our Gert to make him stop at the next service station so he could rest,so he pulled in out came the rag and he polished his taxi.
We made it back to Bangkok but only because i made sure he did not fall asleep whilst driving.

Taxi is not the most cheapest way for sure. Even minivan with driver + diesel will be cheaper even if you have to pay for the drive back as well.

I got quoted 4K to go to Chiang Mai before, though I think that meant me paying for fuel, which would be about 2K.

Yep the going rate for mini-vans is 1900bt per day + you pay for fuel and the driver's accomodation (which he'll pocket and sleep in the car). Pretty good deal, the Thais squeaze like 35 people into one of those and go sight-seeing around the country for fuck all. Lots of casino trips in these too.

You can get those prices a lot cheaper than that from Bangkok, those taxis that are parked up, with the drivers loitering are the best example.

You can get to Hua Hin for 1500 baht with a little haggling

Got a taxi from Bangers to Donsak ferry pier a few years back - 5k

    'Where you go?'

'The beach. And Somjit, make haste. Here's an industrial sized bottle of M150 for your trouble.'

Bangers to Pak Chong cost about 1500 last time I did it, the fare included being able to talk incomprehensible pissed-up claptrap to the poor twat for 2 hours.

    Love eeeet.
