^ will try that after a few beers.
This is the 81 beer garden now, nice and empty
The 2 bars,
Looks to be an old blokes club(probably Neals hash harriers)
And a cocktail bar
2 big screens for sports.
Beats sitting in a faux Brit or Irish bar any day
Fight club car park, dunnees and a bottle of Terry's Amber nectar
From looking at the pics, it seems you have to own a pair of humped shoulders to enter!
Looks like a casting call for a Notre Dame movie.
--EDIT--
No wonder nobody rings the bell. It makes me deaf you know!
Anyone have a link to the fight club thread? Or was there one, or was it a culmination of threads and abuse that led to the met-up? Who got lashed? Who handed out the jabs? Was there wenches screaming. I'd love to know.

Chatted with him the other day, little fucker has lost 12 KG.
Looked like he just got out of a concentration camp.
On a health kick he told me.
Is that the new On Nut MMA ring?

New condo's, building a bloody big one down the bottom of our soi as well. Which means BTS going to be even more packed in a few years time.
The pizzas here are good and not that expensive. Worth the walk if you live nearby.
what about beers ? any good German import ?
^ Sorry didn't look just popped in for a quick Tiger. Then returned later for two pizzas.
I think Paulaner still has their Beer Garden in Nontaburi.
you should be redded for that aloneOriginally Posted by VocalNeal
Cheers...Got a couple of "glass rings" there...
Final update inside Beer garden On Nut shopping mall usual shops inside got a Tops downstairs might be better than Lotus and Big C.
they have a nice starbucks there, would do great for drunk meetup and fights
^ I prefer how it was before these modern malls, wobbly plastic stools, 3 baht toilets and rats
Bangkok is certainly losing its charms,
soon it will be like Singapore, but far worse
But saying that, yes it's become Blandcock, quite fast.
Many places from the older days (even only a decade) are long gone or vanishing fast.
Not saying eg. Sukhumvit 13/15 beer garden or Washington Sq were great landmarks but the settings were 'third world'... ramshackle but functionable, which made up the character of these kinds of places.
These new style millenial young expats would reel in horror at such places, no wifi? how do I update my blog?.....
......no toilet paper, bacteria riddled toilet door/flush handles, Hotel California or Band on the Run playing in the background...anyone nostalgic?

Yep on my rare visits to the Big Snoko amazed how fast it changes
Cheap Charlies Tapas and Zizzis in Soi 11 my regular haunts gone, same in Khao Sarn flashpacker places all over prae Arthit Rambutri .
For authentic sleaze Saphan Kwai and Huay Kwang seems slower to alter. A nights drinking in Thonglor was Dublin prices for wine and local beers and Guinness more I think we paid 7ooo for drinks and 2k for 'snack' food all of which would be 2-3k here.
Regardless of price On Nut Soi Arab had a wonderful seedy mix, the end of all night legal was the beginning of the end
Clubs off Sukhumvit... QBar, Twisted Republic, Faith Club, Sin........
Got good memories of playing at those
