    Hearing Aid Clinician

I am an Audiometrist, (hearing clinician) based in Sydney with over 10 years experience. My husband and I are considering moving to Bangkok and I am wondering if anyone could advise who are the prominent hearing aid companies and/or Ear Specialists in Bangkok, Thank you and any assistance would be appreciated. Jude

    Hearing Aid companies in Bangkok

There may be others, bu t one that I know of is affiliated with the D-Med Pharmacy.

I have hearing aids bought from this company. My technician is located in Pattaya.

She has a day at the Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital at least once a week.

I believe D-Med has a website so you might Google 'D-Med Bangkok'.

They handle Widex and some other brands.

Sorry to be the one to say it, but I doubt if you will be able to practice your profession here anyway. Generally the only positions foreigners can have are in large highly invested corporations and in professions like teaching English in which no Thai is available.
You may want to use Google and look up work permits and occupational restrictions here before you go much further.

I have a friend who is a qualified audiologist here. They have a EU passport proper work permit etc I think you do need to have qualifications that no Thai can match to get the work permit etc.The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has guidelines to barred occupations google MOFA thai and there is a link in English However salries are at Oz dole level so dont expect to fiance a Sydney mortgage off a career here! this may be of interest Research on the Needs of Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) for Disabled Persons in Thailand
