    Siam Ocean World

I hope I've figured out this gallery business OK...

Me and the misses went to Siam Ocean World this weekend as we weren't wet enough from the floods.

Here's some pics.. (sorry about the quality...)

This guy was MASSIVE. I'd crap myself if this was near me...

I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
    But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic

oh I forgot. it was 800bht for 2 of us. Luckily they accepted my Thai bank card so I got in for the Thai/expat price.

What I liked was that they sell beer inside so you can walk about and have a beer while your looking at the fish,..

    some horrible animals...

    some cute animals...

plenty of big aquariums so you get a good view.

    the tunnel thing was cool.

    me being cool/gay.

some computer games for the kids/parents.

There is an excellent aquarium similar to this in Nahkon Sawon, the building resembles a large wooden ship, lt looks like the so called Nohas Ark, the building and surrounds are nicelly maintained.
lt is really worth the visit, l have been there a few times. They tell me that is has been flooded, shame really, but if so l guess they will get it and running again.

OK, I'm late to this but what the hell.
Thanks for this thread, I've also wondered about this place. I've heard it's not very nice and doesn't compare to the aquarium in Singapore. But your pics make it look pretty good.
I've also heard about the infamous Thai vs Farang pricing (TIT) applied here, so I've never been keen on going. Although the missus has been. Maybe we'll finally check it out. I might see if I can get the missus to buy both of our tickets, to try and beat the farang pricing... grrrrr....
