is that somewhere near silom ?
once run by the brits.
if it is, then i was told that it is a fine hospital.
I was a patient there in the early 70s with dengue fever. If I remember correctly, it's on Larn Luang Road and not far from the Army race course.
It is also known as the Bangkok Seventh Day Adventists Hospital.
They used to have multi tier pricing to better support charity cases. I do not know if that is still the case. All in all, a pretty good hospital but the menu was crap.
Thank you all for your response. I appreciate it.
Seventh Day Adventist are vegetarians. Hence the crap food as you say. I was born in one. Used the one in Phuket and it was alright. Needed some sewing up, but just as pricy as Bangkok or International hospitals. Cater to local Thai's on insurance claims.
^ Ouch.
But think mission will cope fine with counting whether you have one leg or two.
Used to be mine too; it's new and the staff were friendly and copious, but they had a habbit of making appointments and doing nothing... After two visits with nothing but appointments having been made, I went to Bumrumgrad instead and got some proper treatment straight away...
I knew a Thai friend who was down for Mission, she went once, didn't like it then altered her SS hospital.
I wouldn't say it's a bad hospital, it just seemed wierd/disfunctional/badly managed - the doctors (like many hospitals/clinics in Bkk) are usually at other hospitals and only go to Mission for a few hours per week... With so many options in Bkk, you can do better, imo.
Cycling should be banned!!!
Thanks for the info Bettyboo, but I don't have a choice. Social Security made the appointment and they have the say where they want me to have the evualation done. The doctor I spoke to did tell me the Orthepidic doctor didn't come in until 6.00 PM, but he could do the physical tests, I would have to come back at 6.00 for the Orthepidic part. More run around.
