Crikey.....just mates goin for a fly.....can pay in a ute load of beer if he wants it.

As for 'special' place.....there are so many.....when you are in a helicopter.

I remember landing in a 'special' place in Arnhemland by a billabong and wandered down to the banks, threw in a line and within seconds a Barra 2 foot long jumped on it......should have got abo permission there I guess.

Oh and another 'special' place in Papua New Guniea.....landed there, did some trading and a wonderful time.......probably should have got PNG permission to visit, oh and a visa....or international flight permission......I guess.

Anyway, heli comes around bend in river and there in front of him is a fisherman in a dinghy.....no biggy.....keep on skiing.

But the guy in the boat was a CASA dude and upon his return to work...big troubles.

Haha, yeah I have heard that story. Will Burrell was the name of the toffy Pom - he got up to a few crazy things in his 10 years at El Questro.

His latest trip was with some happy Koreans to the Ragged Range.

Great view!

I believe it is all still for free as he tries to get his hours up. I hope to take advantage of this situation in a few months time when I visit!

Forgot to mention about the cross hire. The first year was a little slow but the last 12 months were above budget so, so far so good.

Sunday morning it was off to Cape Dommett for breakfast. An easy 30 minutes flight from base. For kids who hardly ever get to see the beach they were in heaven!

One of my favourite passtimes in the Torress Straits was to go shell collecting by heli....I would get down to about 1m above the sand and circumnavigate the islands, stopping to pick up all kids of nifty...big big shells.
