Charges for disqualified driver who allegedly used mobility scooter to tow boat

From the 'Only in Australia' File #001-10497630-3x2-940x627-jpg
The man said at the time that he wanted to go fishing.

A disqualified NSW driver has been charged with a string of offences after allegedly using a mobility scooter to tow his boat.
Police said the man towed the vessel on October 19, along the Pacific Highway through the lakeside suburb of Belmont, south of Newcastle.

From the 'Only in Australia' File #001-10497702-3x2-940x627-jpg

The 35-year-old now faces charges of driving whilst disqualified, using an unregistered vehicle on the road, using an uninsured vehicle on the road, and using an unregistered trailer on the road.

At the time of the incident the man told the media he had wanted to go fishing, but could not drive a car, because he had lost his licence.
The man is due to face court in January.

Australian PM 'Surprised' by State's Secret Silk Road Deal With China

"Prime Minister Scott Morrison said he hadn't been expecting reports that China and the Australian state of Victoria had signed an agreement signalling the latter's participation in China's Belt and Road Initiative.

Morrison told the reporters he was “surprised” Victoria's government would make a decision on a “matter of international relations” without discussing it with the federal government first, the New York Times reported on Wednesday.

“They know full well our policy on those issues and I thought that was not a very cooperative or helpful way to do things on such issues,” Morrison said.
Victoria’s Premier Daniel Andrews said that the deal with China would allow local businesses to become “one step closer to unlocking the trade and investment opportunities of China’s ambitious Belt and Road initiative.”

The deal comes less than two weeks before Victoria's state elections. However, it also set a precedent, for China to make deals with a state government.

“I think this is a big part of Beijing’s agenda, to say to other states and territories that were the last to sign up will be bad. That would be consistent with Beijing’s approach with other negotiations internationally,” said Michael Shoebridge, director of the defence and strategy program at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, a think tank.

Reminds me of George Jones driving his lawnmower to get to the liquor store. But that was because his wife took away his keys.

    https://www.houstonpress.com/music/h...e-time-6522381

Once, when I had been drunk for several days, Shirley decided she would make it physically impossible for me to buy liquor. I lived about eight miles from Beaumont and the nearest liquor store. She knew I wouldn't walk that far to get booze, so she hid the keys to every car we owned and left.

But she forgot about the lawn mower. I can vaguely remember my anger at not being able to find keys to anything that moved and looking longingly out a window at a light that shone over our property. There, gleaming in the glow, was that ten-horsepower rotary engine under a seat; a key glistening in the ignition.

I imagine the top speed for that old mower was five miles per hour. It might have taken an hour and a half or more for me to get to the liquor store, but get there I did.

The six foot (at the shoulder, I assume) I can barely believe. The cows all around her in comparison, however...three feet as they are half the height of Knickers, are a bit harder to believe. Pygmy breed?

OK. I had a feeling but they kep calling him "cow".
Still, those other cows look very small. Barely up to his belly. The girl in this pic's waist.

I think if you read the story you will find that the "Knickers" is 1.94m tall which is 6ft 4in and if you look at the cow standing in his shade near his back leg it is about half his height which means about 1.47m which is a reasonable height for a cow.

Thanks for that. I agree that the cows seem to be about half his height, and that is my point. Sorry, but I do need to question your maths Half of 1.94m is not 1.47m, it is 0.97m. I agree that 1.47m is a very reasonable height for a cow...0.97 is not.

My mistake on the maths, thanks Teacher.

As for "Knickers" he is a Friesian cross and the other cows are probable Jersey cows. see quote from google below.

"The Jersey is a breed of small diary cattle
    .
Originally bred in the Channel Island of Jersey, the breed is popular for the high butterfat content of its milk and the lower maintenance costs attending its lower bodyweight, as well as its genial disposition."

Also I think in the 2 pictures he might be standing on an elevated piece of ground compared to the cows and the woman.

    WaPo's on it......

“This story needs some perspective,” said Aniek Bouwman, an expert in animal breeding and genomics at Wageningen University in the Netherlands.

For starters, she said, it’s important to note that Knickers is not a cow but a steer, and that males are typically quite a bit larger than females.
(Note: Only females who have had at least one calf are referred to as “cows” in cattle circles.)

But his breed is also important, Bouwman said.

Male Holsteins tend to top out at just under 6 feet in height, while other breeds, like the wagyu cattle that surround Knickers in the now-famous photos of him, usually come in under 4.5 feet.

In other words, Knickers is a large specimen, but he looks larger because he’s standing among a herd of Danny DeVitos, not a herd of Arnold Schwarzeneggers.

Age is also a factor. Knickers is seven years old, which is rather long in the tooth for a steer. The animals with which he was pictured are all around one year old, his owner .

No, he's known not-so-fondly as The Mouth. Another parallel with Clay, Mundine is very vociferous in his bragging.

Mundane always plays the racist card.

People don't hate him because he's an Aboriginal.
They hate him because he's a kunt.
