Realistically what are the chances of being eaten by a crocodile or beaten up by a kangaroo when on such sabbaticals?

It really looks great, but I'm a poof and would require the presence of an automatic weapon in order to stay out there of a night. Almost as dangerous as Clapham Common.

You do see a Diesel can as I use that to get the fire going and I do carry a fire extinguisher but don't think that would help if my fire got away.

No need to worry, I clear the area proper before lighting up, friggin must do Eh when you look at my camp fires.

    Good innit.

In north Queensland the chances of getting eaten by a croc are quite good around any sea or estuary area.
    Body surfing anyone?

Or maybe a spot of sunbathing.

Not sure what's down around Terrys way apart from the drop bears.
Mind you, this looks like that waterhole next to Terrys camp site.

Had 3 nights away on that little trip testing out my rig before heading back to Perth.
The fire season is finished but I got one more trip in to a lovely spot only 1.5 hours from my house before the scorching heat of summer set in. Jeez its been 39 degrees for 5 days straight, Perth is melting. Anyway I headed to Dwellingup in the national Forrest for 2 nice nights. Shitter's and tables here and the Ranger collects $7 a head per night. I go during the week and he don't bother, just cleans up when the muppets front up on the weekend. Once again I had this great place to my self.

Here I am dead smack in the middle of the Pine plantation. Had a river running down the bottom and the last 2 cool days before the heat went nuts. Some nice walks around here and that's what I do in the day.Love banging around the place.

Total fire ban in force from 15th Dec till mid March but when allowed to burn it must be within these fire rings kindly supplied by our Government. The river at the rear. Nice spot this one.

1 week before I was here we had a record rainfall come down in this area. The river banks where still muddy and the river dirty. Usually fairly clean around here. The day I left it was 35 Degrees. The weather changes in a heart beat come summer around Perth.

There are at least six dead backpackers in this photo.
    Can you spot them all?
Bonus prize if you can guess at least half the nationalities!

Campers in general are a good crew. They respect the bush, there's virtually no rubbish and shit around the place which makes for a great wilderness experience.
