In 1994 at Earls Court, the bloke who played Neil was sat directly behind me watching the mighty Floyd. We shared a joint or two of my finest home grown weed. Splendid chap.

richie giving birth, while niel sat in front of the fridge to warm his hands,
and when the birth came as a 3 minuet long fart just before the house exploded, just about the funniest thing i have ever seen on tv,
strange thing is my then wife saw no humor in at all,
life is what happens to us while we are making other plans
Hey Neil... your bedroom's on fire.
Never got into the Young Ones - prefer Bottom, personally. And that is by no means a reference to bum banditry.
^ What might your little name be ?
The pair of them did a comic relief thing not long ago,Rich has loaded up on the timber big time.
Bottom is the best thing they ever did, I went to see some of their last
few shows and they were just scaping the barrel when it came to material near the end.
^ CLASSIC! Best episode, ever.
"Left in high spirits to indulge in my hobby of bus surfing."
Their live Bottom stage shows were great. Available on torrent if you hunt around. There were five of them I think.
Yes there were 5,the first three are decent but the last two were bloody awful, purely a retirement fund show for the pair.Originally Posted by Gerbil

After the show me and a few mates all said how shi* it was,I watched the same show on dvd at a different venue and noticed all the gaffs and goofs were fake
and they were just there as a lack of script.
The TV series and the first three live shows are great ! Just pretend they didnt make the last two.
I never liked 'Bottom'. The Young Ones was great though.
I'm with Marmite on that, but even watching The Young Ones now, it doesn't seem as funny as when I was 14 laughing at someone farting.
My sense of humour evolved into
Adrian Edmunson is a funny guy- he actually managed to make 'Teenage Kicks' (almost) watchable.
^ he seems a bit strange in real life.
He's on every reality TV show that will have him
This is my favourite Rik Mayall performance
Rik Mayall had his shot at the American market, but failed miserably in 'Drop Dead Fred'.
Most Americans don't get the Dry British sense of humour
'The Young Ones' was fairly popular in the States (it was shown on MTV in the 80's)- while there were some local references I didn't get, I wouldn't call it 'dry humor' (or even ' dry humour') and I quite enjoyed it- I even downloaded and watched all the episodes last year for a bit of nostalgia.
I even owned a 'Never Mind the Sex Pistols Here's Our Bullocks' T-shirt featuring all the boys.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

We used to get stoned and watch it when I was in college (of course, we used to get stoned to do pretty much everything in those days...)Originally Posted by kmart
