    Any King's X fans here?

These guys are one of the best bands on the planet! Go online and check them out!

Few hard rock bands are as widely respected yet criminally overlooked as King's X. The trio (bassist/vocalist Doug Pinnick, guitarist/vocalist Ty Tabor, and drummer/vocalist Jerry Gaskill) seemed destined for the big time with their irresistible blend of melodic Beatlesque harmonies, metallic riffing, and prog rock detours, yet for reasons unknown, never truly broke through to a mainstream audience

    they have like 15 albums...
    The best 3 are

    King's X (self titled)
    Faith Hope Love
    Dogman (a bit heavier)

They use hard rock... funk... metal... the singer sounds like Hendrix and the 2 white guys provide some awesome beatle like harmony work... So they all sing which is a cool chemistry compared to one singer..

    their website is:

    kingsxrocks.com

there is some stuff there you can check out!

or send me a pm with your email and I can send you a few tracks

How early in their career did these albums come?

Experience tells me that most bands with 15 albums will have become stale.

I have listed album 3-4-5 so... 1990 - 1994 would be those albums

they have a few "stale" albums I will admit... but the last 2 have been really good! for old rockers anyway... and the live performances are always really good!

pm me I will send you a few tracks! see what you think!

the thing about them is they are loved by musicians all over the world but the general public was never very interested....

They have plugs by everyoine from Ritchie Blackmore to Anthrax and all kinds of people in between....

No need, I can download myself easily, although having read their Biog I find the Christianity disturbing as I find most religious people a bit odd.

well here is the thing... when they started their music was "spiritual" (sort of) without being preachy (more like pink floyd lyrically - "what are they talking about?").... The bass player is gay... So at a certain point he had to come out of the closet... that day they lost a huge part of their fan base! I can't tell you how many times I have seen the Dug after the show talking to some old fan who is trying to convince him to be a christian.. he is very tolerent of these people to his credit...

I never found there music to be preachy or christian but good spirited! there is a difference to me anyway.. You will not find any christian material in their music. In fact when interviewed today they will flat out say we were never a christian band and the label was placed there by other people...

but beyond that... its quality music... some of the best stuff you will ever hear...

"hey god... I saw the news today.. why are your people so fucking mean" - from the song "get away"

So don't worry about their experience just dig the tunes!

and... may the groove be with you my friend!

70's roclk a bad thing? you know when guitar players actually cared about playing and singers actually sang...

I can not get into guitars tuned down 2-3 steps and then banged on... and never could dig singers that try to sound like cookie monster

so ya give me singing, guitars and a groove!
