    Dengue Fever Confirm World Tour In May 2010



    LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ It's Alive Media) - Los Angeles-based Cambodian rock band Dengue Fever (Dengue Fever on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads) announced today that they have confirmed a world tour including Europe and Asia this May.

    Dates include Scandinavia, Germany, Turkey and the band's first tour dates in Vietnam and China.

    9/9-12 [at] Bestival, Isle of Wight, ENGLAND
    9/10-12 [at] End of the Road Festival, Dorset, ENGLAND

    'I never dreamed when we started Dengue Fever that we'd be in a situation where we could book a tour that would take us from Norway via Turkey and end up in China,' said Dengue Fever vocalist Chhom Nimol.

    'We are so happy to play dates for the first time in Vietnam and Hong Kong while being able to return to Europe yet again. We have amazing fans in Scandinavia, Germany and Turkey so it's great to come back to our second home. I just hope there are no flight delays!'

    Dengue Fever also have confirmed two festivals this September in the U.K.:

    End of the Road Festival (End of the Road Festival 10th, 11th, 12th September 2010) and Bestival (Bestival - News).

    Dengue Fever just returned from a frenetic SXSW music convention (SXSW.com) in Austin, TX, where they performed eight shows in three days, and recorded sets for New Jersey's WFMU (WFMU-FM 91.1/Jersey City, NJ; 90.1/Hudson Valley, NY) and University of Minnesota's Radio K (Radio K).

    The band is currently writing and demo-ing new material for their next official release.

    ABOUT DENGUE FEVER

    Dengue Fever is Cambodian songstress Chhom Nimol, Zac Holtzman (guitar/vocals), Ethan Holtzman (keyboards), Senon Williams (bass), Paul Smith (drums) and David Ralicke (horns).

    The band's music has been featured in a number of film and television shows including City of Ghosts, Must Love Dogs, Broken Flowers, True Blood and twice on Showtime's hit series, Weeds.

    They have released three albums, Dengue Fever, Escape From Dragon House Venus On Earth and the DVD/CD soundtrack to the band's documentary Sleepwalking Through The Mekong, in addition to a collection of lost Cambodian classics, Dengue Fever Presents: Electric Cambodia.

    They are based in Los Angeles.
