AS much as he may be a good rapper, this generation of slow hiphop, impossible to dance to, with foul lyrics, gets tiresome.

In the bad old days in Bkk, 10-15yrs ago, I played hiphop sets and those days songs were 100-112bpm, and melodic, the dancefloor was moving non-stop. Many tracks sampled funk and disco tracks, good vibes, the songs had a chorus and proper breakdown, beatmixing was easy and fun.

In the 90s, DR Dre produced the most gangsta rap, which was often foul mouthed, but tongue in cheek very funky and danceable.

Yeah, not everyone could handle the ground breaking hipness of *snigger* Will Smith, Pat.

I have been into Rap/Hip Hop since house parties with Parliament and a handful of others were under ground stuff. Then came NWA and DOC for west coast. East Coast had their stake in it. Cube, Dre, JayZ and numerous other rappers always had clubs bumpin.

I enjoyed those days and still listen to the music today along with current artists. Rick Ross, E40, Drake, Wale, Wiz Khalifa.

    Hate all ya want....

Btw I still like the old school rock but I got more VJJ going to hip hop clubs then I ever got listening and partying with Rock music.

I was just putting an example of ''jolly'' and ''fun'' hiphop

He was quite groundbreaking with his style of dancing in the 90s. Looked ridiculous to me.

^^There is a documentary about the making of the video. French and crew went to Uganda and shot the video.. also made these kids famous. Unforgettable!

I love certain hip hop and r&b stuff ..mostly from the 90's.. old school hip hop.
