Green owed. Some classics in there. DJ JB isn't the greatest beatmixer but his tune selection is good

Wasn't too crazy about Bizz Nizz though.

5 minute drive from where I grew up. I was trying to explain the missus what it was like, and gave up. It was mental. Wicked. Brilliant. Scary. Incredibly sexy. Whole thing.

    Anyone else go?

I was kicking it in the Canary Islands in 93 complete with a pair of head curtains, magical times for the music industry.

Funnily enough the whole rave thing kicked off in 1988 in a sleepy northern town called Blackburn.

Thousands of teenagers descending on farmers fields at the last minute pilled up and ready to parrrtyyyyy

Indeed - didn't take long for it to go everywhere though. I remember the times sat in a mates mini in a loaded carpark when suddenly engines buzzed and off we all went to form a traffic jam on some country road.

Universe was held on what is now an organic farm = Pertwoods organics.

Kids these days don't realise what us old bastards used to get up to!

Remember a burger van blowing up - literally the gas tanks took the fucker into space, and everyone thought initially it was some kind of spectatcular fire work or something. Until the fire-brigade turned up

You know the kitkat connection right?

When on tour they would buy kitkats to use the foil for heroin.

Bez ran to be a Salford MP, but would I vote for him? Would I fuck. He’s my pal and I love him. But he’d run the country depending on how he felt each morning after the first joint.

Mondays. Weren't that many happy mondays back then though. In fact, they were mostly "oh my fucking god what the fuck is that inside my head, and how did he get that pneumatic drill in there!" Mondays.

I read Shaun Ryders book. A lot of the assumed good times were spent on drugs, looking for drugs, coming down off drugs and cluckin' like fuck for the next fix of drugs.

^Shame they don't perform the hit single version at their shows. Let's be honest that's what most of the crowd are waiting for, then they just drone out a boring version sounding nothing like the one in Trainspotting

Bizarre why dance bands do this.

Blur, for example, have many big hits, yet the versions they play live are speeded up, heavy guitar-ised and he croaks through them like my granny on karaoke
