I haven't listened to it yet. I'm on a Waterboys binge at the moment inspired by the miraculous escape from Tham Luang cave.
I don't think I've ever heard a Floyd cover!

Love all this music. When I was a young lad I sang on the grand ole opry once when they stopped in our wee hick town. The evolution from folk to modern day country music is amazing. All good but bit old school for me. Always one of my favs.

Great stuff.
SKkin. I listened to the Wish You Were Here cover but that song means too much to me to be able to countenance any other version than The Floyd's.
in 76 I was working away from home in the cold and barren Shetland Islands whilst my friends and girldfriend were enjoying one of the best summers on record further south in the UK. I remember watching the cricket on TV. the crowd were all sitting on the stands with their shirts off, drinking beer whilst we were wearing polo sweaters to keep out the cold North Sea wind..
It was a melancholic album , somewhat of a disappointment overall, but WYWH is such a great song to play on the guitar. I rememeber that treeless landscape and cows bumping into the caravan we slept in at night!
