    X Factor UK, 2015 - 4th power

First, my excuse. I was back in UK a while ago, and the new series of X factor started. My mum is hooked, and it is compulsory viewing at home.

For those of you who don't know, its the same talent contents format, think there are buckets of similar shows, but this is for singers only.

So was watching the show with me mum, and a group of girls from the Philippines came on. Remember saying to my mother that these could be very good, she was surprised, but as we know, the Philippines provides singers for, well everywhere to be honest.

Anyway, these girls were not good. They were phenomenal. Four girls, awesome voices. Think they will do well. They have been knocking around the talent contest circuit for a fair while, but think this time they will finally get a break through.

Yes, I know its heavily doctored - but, nice girls, stunning voices.

    Audition

    Bootcamp
(they get several acts thrown together, and have to come up with a combined song -this was by far and away the best team)

Solo before further selection (not my fave):

They are now half way through the next stage of selection. They nailed their part.

There is another lass from the Philippines as well, married to a brit, lives in UK. She is in the group video above. Likely to do well.

Not normally my cup of tea, but the lasses are great, and there are some other terrific singers in the competition as well.

Can be found on true visions (Mondays).

and that is just sad and contributing to the hold the multinational entertainment companies have on the creative industries

there is probably a space for an internet streamed talent contest to try and break away from the parasites

Overthinking it a bit there mate. My mum is a widow well in her 80s, its a bit of entertainment for her, and I am happy to spend time with her when I get the opportunity.

Some tough competition. He is very strong. But think the girls will snatch it. Under some professional guidance, think they will nail out the rough spots (some of the song choices are a bit off).

Che is good, but a little drab....

    Red sent to OP.

I can't believe that I trusted the poster and opened this thread against my better judgement. I'll probably have to send greens to the undeserving likes of Dilinger and Baldrick just to reload on the reds for this thread's OP. Terrible...

She is storming. One of the few singers with a range that can get above the flipper lasses - check out the group one.

    Awesome voice.

    Mea culpa.

Did realize I would get a lot of flack for showing a hint of my slip peeking from under my pretty frock..

In my defence, I do have to offer that those flipper lasses are pretty damn hot.

...as said in my OP.....at my home.....mind you, it is now clashing with Strictly. God only knows how that scenario is going to pan out.

The Flips are an internationally recognised professional band. If that were the criteria the show should really be re-titled.
    Just sayin like.

And speaks with some sort of an American accent, nothing like would come out of the mouth of anyone who's spent time growing up in Oz. My first thought was he/she was either schooled in the States or was part Filipino. Maybe had his/her English lessons from an American teacher in Thailand?.

*Disclaimer* I watch the show because Mrs Worx loves it and really looks forward to each Monday night for it to come on tv. Having said that, some of those guys/girls are very talented singers.

Not a bad voice but unfortunately it appears that she has gone to the Mariah Carey school of 'why use one note when 50 will do' (at the end).
