Chet Atkins covers this well. Try to spot the girl with the very large knockers in this clip.

( you need to turn of the add to see her )

Probably not what the OP had in mind but I got carried away.....apologies.

My but this board appears to be infested with bitter little Philistines.

Perhaps some Miles Davis can counter this sad little man's outburst of angst.

Alas, you appear cursed to spend the rest of your life in the cultural equivalent of a landfill.

    If you say so.
At least I won't feel like my ears are being tortured in order to soak up all that wonderful 'culture'

I love music, many different kinds infact, but jazz isn't one of them.

Jazz is like a box of chocolates. Never know what you're going to get.

Can't really see the point of you bothering to join what is clearly a Jazz thread when you admit that you don't like it - especially if it is simply to make an inane observation based on your own personal likes and dislikes, and to contribute nothing to a thread clearly aimed at people that do like jazz and not the cacophany that masquerades as music these days.

Why waste your time and that of others being deliberately childish and offensive?

Fortunately there are such gems as this, with two jazz giants in Ella Fitzgerald and Oscar Peterson, to condemn your antipathy to the dustbin of irrelevant minutia.

I think you might be taking life (and jazz) a bit to seriously. Sorry for having an opinion and for voicing it. I appreciate the obvious skills that certain jazz musicians and singers have, but for the most part it's just not my cup of tea.
Again sorry for butting in and I will leave you jazz people to it.
    Over and out.

I admit, I would have rather listened to opera when I was a lad. Now I can say I appreciate both. Like all genres, there is shite and there is great. I avoid the crap but love the great stuff.

Well at least you've demonstrated that you are capable of a slightly more intellectual argument than "Jazz sucks...musical wanking".

    Keep up the good work.
