    Quick question Betty.

Why don't you just pop out and buy a cheap arse acoustic to mess about and do some 3 chord tricks until you pick up the electric?

It strengthens your fingers and gets the blisters on the fingertips out of the way.

It also makes you more precise because an electric is more forgiving.

I seem to remember Withers popping up to Bogon mansions one night and having a strum on mine a few months back. (this is just anecdotal BTW).
    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

Neo might have just blown my cover at being shite at reading TAB!

I had to Google the chord.

It's a finger training exercise all on the top E string using all 4 fingers. Peter Gunn theme.
I did another one a little more complicated for Betty a while back, a little too complicated...
we gotta start somewhere though and getting the fingers under control and warmed up is essential.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

^ Do you agree that it's best to get Betty's girly fingers hardened up a bit?

Grab a load of Oasis, Verve and Travis 3 chord tricks, and you should be good to go.

Sliding power chords up and down the top three strings should toughen them up..

Still can't quite get the sequence and bend up to speed on the main lick.. that's why he looks so smug when he does it, this guy is boss.

    Powerchords...

    D x 2
    C x 3
    F x 3
    A flat x 5

    GGGGGGGG...........

Actually I think it works better as E D G on the A string and A sharp G on the E string and I'm sure that's what they play in the vid but the above is from Ultimate guitar tabs.

String it up the opposite way you normally would and then turn the bloody thing upside down!

Good enough for Hendrix and that grunge bloke...

^Looks like something that 80's electro puffters like "A Flock Of Seagulls" might have used, matey..?
*Dry ice, loads of hair spray, and sucking your cheeks in*

Get a real drum kit that annoys fuck out of the neighbours, man.

Just bought this mini-kit for the little boy. He plays it like "Animal" off the Muppet Show. Makes a right racket, thinking of buying him a set of bagpipes next.

    So, to re-cap:

We have Betsy on lead guitar

    The Bogmeister general on rhythm

    Withall lead vox/bumpet

    Myself as the chief percussionist/stripper

And now of course we have the age-old problem of finding a bass player
